Kerala in South India has teaming population of rare and special aerial, terrestrial and aquatic fauna.

Some of the prized animals that find refuge in the greenery of Kerala are Asian elephants, very rare mountain goats known as Nilgiri Tahrs, tigers, leopards, lion-tailed macaques, and Malabar giant squirrels.

Exotic birds with colorful plumage such as kingfishers, woodpeckers, Malabar hornbills, darters, and Brahminy kites can be spotted from close during backwater cruise and wildlife tours of the famous National Parks and wildlife sanctuaries of Kerala.

Butterflies and moths might look more beautiful but crocodiles, turtles, crabs, and mudskippers attract attention of wildlife enthusiasts and photography lovers too.

If you are lucky, you just might see some rare fishes floating along your houseboat during your backwater cruise. Periyar National Park at Thekkady is one of the finest wildlife preserves in India and was once the hunting reserve of the Maharaja of Travancore.

Its unique ecosystem comprises dense evergreen forests, Periyar Lake and thick moist deciduous vegetation. Tigers and wild herds of Asian elephants are chief attractions of Periyar. The Kerala Wildlife Tour also takes you to best backwater destinations of Kerala.

Arrive Chennai. On arrival you will be met and transferred to Hotel for overnight stay.

Morning proceed for the sightseeing tour of Chennai including. The St. George Fort, built in 1653, is currently used as the state government's secretariat. Santhome Cathedral was built around 14th/15th century and is another colonial structure worth visiting. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the Kapaleeshwar Temple is the oldest temple in Chennai. Another important temple in the city dedicated to Lord Krishna is Parthsarthy Temple, Marina Beach, the second longest beach in the world. Overnight at the hotel in Chennai.

Morning you will be transferred to the railway Station to board train # 2007 Shatabdi Express to Bangalore dep. 06:00 hrs / arr. Bangalore at 10:50 hrs. Check into hotel. Afternoon city tour visiting Bangalore's botanical gardens before touring the ancient Bull Temple and Tipu Sultan's Palace. Overnight at hotel.

Morning drive to Mysore. Proceed for an excursion to Ranganathittu the bird sanctuary near Mysore, Daria Daulat Bagh, Gumbaz in Srirangapatnam, Somnathpur etc. Overnight at hotel in Mysore.

Morning city tour including Maharaja's Palace built as recently as 1897, which is one of the biggest in India; St Philomena's Church etc.; Sri Jauyachamarajendra Art Gallery housed in the Jagmohan Palace, which has a collection of exquisite paintings, Folklore museum, Brindavan Gardens etc. Afternoon drive to Nagarhole. On arrival, check in at Hotel for overnight stay.

Morning and afternoon jungle visit to the Park. Overnight at the hotel in Nagarhole.

Morning drive to Bandipur. On arrival check in at hotel. Afternoon jungle visit to the park. Overnight at the hotel in Bandipur.

Morning drive to Ooty. Later visit the Botanical gardens and Toda tribal village. Evening at leisure to stroll around the lake. Overnight in Ooty.

Early morning drive to Dodabetta peak the highest in the Nilgiris. Later drive to Cochin. On arrival in Cochin check into hotel for overnight stay.

Morning sightseeing tour of Cochin including Fort Cochin , The Dutch Palace at Mattancherry is renowned for its wall murals depicting scenes from the Ramayana. The Jewish Synagogue at the heart of what is locally called the Jew Town . The St. Francis Church, the oldest European church in India . The Santa Cruz Basilica, originally built in 1557 by the Portuguese. The Chinese fishing nets cantilevered fishing nets believed to have brought to Kochi by Chinese traders. Overnight at the hotel in Cochin.

Morning drive to Alleppey and board houseboat. Staying in this moving palace is breathtakingly stimulating experience. While sailing down a maze of canals one sees different scenes from the villages, paddy fields, coconut palms, fisherman and local life. Lunch, dinner next day breakfast and tea snacks will be provided in the boat. The cool breeze from the Lake make you sleep early in the night after anchoring in a fancy place. Dinner and Overnight in the houseboat.

Morning disembark at Kumarakom. Afternoon visit Kumarakom Bird sanctuary, noted for migratory birds even from Siberia. Also find time to visit coconut and mangroves. Overnight at hotel.

Morning drive to Periyar. Upon arrival check in at Hotel. Afternoon enjoy boat cruise on Lake Periyar in the National Park, known for herds of wild elephant, bison, deer and spectacular bird life. Evening proceed to visit the spice market. Overnight at the Hotel in Periyar.

Morning drive to Munnar, the famous hill station of Kerala. Visit of Eravikulam National Park,the best place to see Nilgiri Tahr ( Hermitragus Hylcrious) -the mountain goat of South India. Also visit tea plantations.

Morning Visit Mattupatty dam. Later drive to Cochin international airport and connect flight to onward destination.
